A direct gaze in our eyes always provokes a reaction, perhaps a pleasant sensation or maybe not. We can certainly say that there are many types of gazes. There are gazes that help us to heal. There are also gazes that protect us. Other gazes are so full of hope that they make us believe in the future. We cannot forget the gazes of tenderness. And we cannot forget the look of sadness that makes us suffer so much when we witness it. Of course, there are many more gazes which are not necessary to mention.

A uniquely original show based on the international figure of one of our most international Valencian painters, Joaquín Sorolla. Poetry, music, dance, and the projection of selected photos take us on a journey of emotions as it portrays the biography of the painter, from his childhood up to his passage into immortality of this acclaimed Valencian artist. All the stories and poems are unpublished and were specifically created for this show; it represents the first contemporary production entirely made to bring the life and work of Joaquín Sorolla to the stage.

Santa Llúcia Festivities

Like every December 13th, the day of these beautiful traditional festivities begins at 8:00 a.m. with an awakening and at 10:00 a.m. the pilgrimage to go up to the Hermitage will be held from Plaça de l'Església. Afterwards, will take place the mass and distribution of chocolate and sweets. The day before, the Mayorales go accompanied by the music of the "dulzaina and tamboril" to deposit a bouquet of flowers in the niche located in the street of the Saint.
